No more expected, this was a one-off item.
Kit Kat Chocolate Vending Machine – currently set to widely available flow wrapped 2 finger bars. i.e. the new ones that have been out for about 18 months replacing the traditional foil wrapped version.
This is a one-off. A late 1960s, early 1970s model with the following differences to what came in the later T79 modes;
- Thicker metal with re-enforcing plates to the 4 rear screwholes
- Even thicker metal on the drawer, which had extra mounting points to also suit the wooden cabinets (or for other manufacturers to incorporate) that were no longer made after the early 1970’s.
- Studs with square holes for fixings, brass nuts, all specially made (later chrome dome bolts were also specially made, but likely not ‘in house’).
- Steel Magazine, rather than the MDF used our other machines
- 2x Decimal 1p coin operation, note this cannot be changed!
- Additional ‘Insert 2x 1p’ instruction plate, completely original.
- Still works with the newest flow-wrapped KitKats
Machine Dimensions – Height 890mm (35″), Width 185mm (7.25″), Depth 135mm (5.25″)
This is a 1960s-1980s ‘LocWil’ T79 Machine, made in Wolverhampton, with decals from the late 70’s, to mid 80’s era. The base machine and chromed drawer itself will be at least 50 years old.
Accepts decimal 1p coin x 2. Drawers are fixed to 2 x Decimal 1p and cannot be changed.
We have refurbished these machines back to working condition, superb quality used LocWil drawers.
Please do not buy if you are expecting perfection – these machines may be refurbished but some parts previously have had a tough life in public – although the item pictured is the exact item you will receive, some machines have dents, scratches, and some very minor surface rust on ‘hidden’ parts – this patina only adds to the charm in our opinion!
Intended as a novelty and not for commercial placement, for use as a home money box etc… as this machine does not lock out when empty of stock – although the idea is that the drawer can be slightly opened giving the prospective purchaser an idea if there is anything left to vend – this has always been how the drawer type machines worked with regard to running out of stock.
Locks are brand new, and 2 keys are supplied.
