Cadburys ‘Snack’ Biscuit Vending Machine – currently set to widely available current ‘Snack’ 2 packs (Supermarket ‘6 x 2 pack’ size).

Machine Dimensions – Height 760mm (30″), Width 180mm (7″), Depth 100mm (4″).

This is a 1980s ‘GKN Sankey’ / ‘Fisholow’ Machine, made in the Midlands, with decals appropriate to the 80’s era. The base machine is approaching at least 40 years old, though this will still have been one of the very last manual machines made by GKN, the last of the very original range created by Fisholow in the 1950s and made right up until the very early 1990s by a number of successor companies.

Accepts new £1 coin. Mechanisms are fixed to 1 x New (post 2017) £1 and cannot easily be changed.

Please do not buy if you are expecting perfection, but study the pictures carefully, this is the machine for sale. Importantly, due to the very ‘flappy’ nature of Snack bar wrapping, for ease of use we recommend you put a tiny bit of tape on each bar to secure the edges of the packet, otherwise they may get caught on the mechanism. The machine will still work without them, but you will get a few more ‘jams’. The video shows the simple 3-second procedure needed and how well the machine works with it in place.

Intended as a novelty and not for commercial placement, for use as a home money box etc… as this machine does not lock out when empty of stock – although the idea is that the drawer can be slightly opened giving the prospective purchaser an idea if there is anything left to vend – this has always been how the drawer type machines worked with regard to running out of stock.

Locks are replacements to the original, and 1 key is supplied – replacements can be ordered to code.
