Ok, it’s eBay again, but where else? Also, what is it with the heavy ‘XXX entertainment’ / BBC mix?

Now, to be fair, this particular seller – for whatever reason – has done a bit of a handbrake turn and whilst historical sales of the exact same items were described as ‘vintage’ and ‘original’, the description is now marginally more honest, but still intended to let the gullible hang themselves with their own (vintage) rope.

Sexy Sexy Sexy! Sell Sell Sell! The vintage tins really are the Diet Cola with the Kingsize Whammy Burger and XXL Whammy Fries.
Off topic diversion warning…

Apparently…
“These are an original pair of apprentices overalls from the MG Morris Garages factory in Abingdon and date from the 1940’s or 1950’s, possible early 1960’s but no later for sure. Good condition for age, they’ve been worked in at the factory, anmd [sic] repaired when needed so they could still be used, make do and mend! Absolutely fantastic period dress for Goodwood Revival and a one of [sic] original talking point!
People were much smaller back in the day and these would fit someone about 5 ft 6 inches and a slimish build, maybe more suitable for a lady now.”
Forward looking, equal opportunities grifting, so 90s! My personal suspicion is that someone picked up some knackered old tut (which also appears to be US made) and ran the pocket through a Brother Home Embroidery machine. That bit just looks way too new. Look at how the hem of the pocket, over the years, has formed a sort of dam for all the dirt and grime, there is a clear 1-2mm section around the stitching especially to the left where the material almost looks new. Then look at the green stitching. All the material is identical all around it, right up to the sewed section. As for the bit about some huge evolutionary change in the last 60 years, I have few words.

Next time I post it’ll be something nice. Promise.
